I've been looking for a notebook for university (computer science degree) for a long time, but can't decide between various manufacturers and models. Perhaps someone will share their experience with the devices or offer other suggestions.
I had already looked at the Acer Swift 3 or 5 as well as the Aspire 5.
I also found the HP envy series, the Asus Zenbooks or the Dell xps models interesting. The Microsoft Surface models don't appeal to me because I'm not looking for a 2 in 1 device.
My price limit is 1200 euro
My requirements for the notebook are the following:
Primary: Windows / Linux
16GB RAM
1TB SSD
Ryzen 7 or comparable intel
USB-C (for charging, as my mobile phone also charges via USB-C and there's less cable clutter in my pocket)
Relatively easy about 1kilo
Battery life for one unit day approx (8 hours)
(I think it would be nice) Illuminated keyboard
I don't know if this will help you now as it doesn't exactly meet your needs, but I can only absolutely recommend the MacBook Pro. It's perfect for college students. This gives you a lot of options. If it doesn't help you, sorry.
