Smartphone only charges up to 1 percent?

I have problems charging my cell phone for weeks or months. I have a Zte Blade 7, and since this morning the cell phone has not charged more than 1 percent. I wonder why that is. Before that, I had similar problems with my cell phone when loading the device and the contact was broken when I connected it to my laptop. Now that I have it charged directly from the power socket with my charger, this wobble contact is no longer available. However, as I said, it only charges up to 1 percent.
