Which laptop is the best to work on the go?

I'm looking for a new laptop. I travel a lot, work a lot online and edit photos and videos.

So far I've always had Windows, but I'm annoyed by the fact that it's getting slower and slower. I need a lot of battery power. In addition, it should run quickly and smoothly.

Is it worth switching to Apple or should I stay with Windows? Can someone recommend a specific device to me? In terms of price, it should be as cheap as possible. Have no problem buying a device that has been used for a few years, as long as the condition is right.

Ka

ASUS Zenbook!

Switching to Apple isn't really worth it if you're not in the ecosystem.

Which device is currently being used?

The XPS range is quite good, depending on how you define cheaply.

So first of all, the question is how much you can spend and how demanding videos you edit.

You can already use normal, not so long 4K videos on an iPad Pro from 2018 Primar in LuminaFusion, believe that was the name, and it costs around 30 euro.

Should it be a bit more demanding, I would definitely recommend Final Cut Pro x. But there had to be a good 300 euro for the cutting program alone.

However, this works well in connection with a MacBook Pro.

A basic MacBook Pro 13 should suffice for simple videos

However, if you want to make longer 4K videos + color adjustments, etc., I can recommend the new 16 incher from Apple

I do not know WIndows alternative now, since I have been working with Apple for almost 10 years

Maybe from the guys from Dell? XPS13 or something?

Maybe you can give more detailed information about what videos you like to edit

length

resolution

Color adjustments, etc

What you need computing power for

You can easily use Apple devices without much maintenance for years. I had a 2012 MacBook myself this summer.

LG and hope I could help you a little

I'm currently working with this part here: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...+2pei781w7

initially I needed it to gamble, but I haven't done it for many years. The part is too big, the battery runs out too quickly, and just slow and annoying. Currently I have a borrowed MacBook Pro 2011 to test, but I can no longer download many apps because the software is too old and I can no longer update it.

The photo and video editing is clearly in the amateur area, but can possibly be even more. I'm filming with Nikon D5300, GoPro Hero 5 and DJI Spark drone (4K recording)

I'm currently using this device here: https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...+2pei781w7 and an iPhone 6s

If you clean up the PC and replace the HDD with an SSD, it should run smoothly again.

Ni

Then I would recommend a basic MacBook Pro 13. Since you have a good battery life and should be enough for amateur use. IMovie is also standard for video editing. As written, there's of course still room for improvement in software. For the beginning, however, fully ok.

Ka

How exactly does it work?

Ky

Unscrew the PC, remove the HDD and screw in an SSD.

Reinstall Windows and reload data.

A new installation could be done, but back up data beforehand.

Ka

Thanks, doesn't the year matter?

Ka

Oh well, is SSD faster than HDD?

Ky

Quite a bit as far as loading times etc. Are concerned.
