What do you have to consider when buying a good PC / laptop?

I would buy a PC / good laptop for my Youtube channel on my GB, which is soon to be used, because I will only use it to carry out streams (with Obs), cut many videos and stream games (e.g. Minecraft). I get around 250 euro in 2 months between 1.2-30.2 and my uncle and grandma's probably 100-200 euro (or a little more) means a total budget of 350-450 euro.

My question is someone here is familiar with it and could recommend a good PC to me or send me a link to a page because I heard you have to be careful what you buy.

He should:

Cost 300-400 euro maximum

Have good memory

And it should be equipped with a screen monitor (and if possible with a keyboard).

So that you can stream right away

In any case, it would be very nice if someone helps me. Thanks

BTW would that be a good offer under the question? Or do I have to pay particular attention to something?

You can't make good streams or cut videos with laptops

Cu

Good processor but the price range is difficult.

He

Well, yes

He

But would be good right?

He

It depends on what you do it with but you are partly right

Cu

No, buy used parts and build yourself the more of yourself

He

Could you give me a link to a good site please? And you mean both PC and laptop ok that's not difficult or something?

Cu

You can't get a decent laptop to play with with the money. Look for used parts on ebay and assemble them yourself. Anything else would be wasted money. Well, when assembling you would need some experience. Don't you have a relative who can help you? Hard to explain to you here.

He

You could look on Youtube or find out more somewhere, I've seen it shouldn't be that difficult

Cu

Yes, I didn't learn it any other way. Just have to pay attention to a few things like thermal paste and where the cables get. But you should definitely get something to gamble with the money.

He

Do you know why people do that and just sell individual parts cheaply? Which one can then "simply" build together

Cu

Because many are upgrading and buying newer parts. It's the same with everything. The parts are then used at the original price, you can't get them away. Technology quickly loses its price.

@hulfaaa is absolutely right.
Laptops have less power,
at the same price, laptops only offer about half the performance that a PC can.
In other words, you pay twice as much for the same performance on a laptop.

The screen of a laptop is generally smaller than monitors that are used on a PC. In addition, the laptop screen is static, i.e. Fixed to the laptop. Turning and swiveling does not work with it.
There can also be no question of ergonomics.

It is similar with the keyboard, which is just as firmly attached to the device.
Correct, independent positioning of the keyboard is not possible.
In addition, laptop keyboards are flat and the keys hardly offer any resistance.
On the one hand, this can be a hindrance / annoyance when playing and
on the other hand, it is ergonomics again, where the laptop is clearly disadvantageous.

The programs that you end up using play absolutely no role in any of these points.

He

So rather a used PC that you should build together, right? I would even save money there

He

OK interesting ^^ thanks for the help I should pay attention to something if I buy a used one, e.g. SSD HDD etc.

He

I mean should it have 12-16 RAM or 18 or does it matter? What should it all be?

Ar

Precisely

Th

For the money you don't get anything to do with what you plan to do.

At the moment you don't even get a desktop for your project for 400 euro.

Th

And if they are more expensive than the desktop PC.

Sorry, I think for the money it will be next to impossible to get something useful. The graphics card alone could be a problem, as these new ones are currently hardly available, even the prices for a used one are very high. And since you also need a monitor, keyboard, etc., the whole thing becomes even more difficult.

A used complete PC is also difficult, and if so, relatively old technology is usually installed. Maybe it's not the worst either, but if you want to upgrade, you will have the problem that you have to buy everything from the motherboard to new. In addition, you often only have the PC without a monitor and input devices, which means you have to get hold of that extra. For € 400 this is really a very difficult project.

I would rather save a little more. I say for around 600 € the whole thing looks different and by then the hardware prices may be a bit more normal again.

In any case, you need a good processor, a decent graphics card and at least 16 GB of RAM. I would recommend a desktop PC, as you have a lot of options for upgrading in the future. It's difficult with a laptop. You can upgrade your RAM and, with a bit of luck, the CPU, and then it's over.
