Is the socket defective?

So the following happened… Today I plugged my laptop into the socket. Then there was a small bang and I took her out quickly. Followed by dark smoke and scorched smell. (I use this socket for about 1 year and he never gave problems.)

Then there was no electricity at first. In the living room the lights went out and in the kitchen the fridge. When I looked in the electrical box was the fuse out. I switched it up again.

Then everything went on, but the stove does not want to tackle anymore. He stays for 1 minute and goes out again. Everything else like TV, light etc. Goes again.

The one outlet I did not even touched and the landlord I can't answer the phone.

Oh well to know: we have in the apartment 2 socket that did not work before our move. Maybe burned too?

Can someone tell me how to proceed?

May I use the other electrical appliances?

And who will pay when costs arise?

I would say your laptop charger has caused the damage. That probably has a short circuit. That with the stove should have nothing to do with it. If the power supply again insert it will pop again, unless the short circuit has burned away. Then it should not work anymore.

Me

Since the electrical system actually protects itself, there should be repairs, costs for the landlord. Sockets and fuses are not broken by a short circuit, if you do not persist, or the system is botched or outdated.

If the electrical system (then) runs correctly again, but yours! If your stove is defective, you will have to take care of it yourself and pay for it.

Does the fuse or the residual current circuit breaker go off at the stove? In both cases, it is best not to switch on fuses until professional clarification.

So we have a fitted kitchen, so the stove belongs to the landlord. And we've used the socket often enough. Also laptop connected and everything possible.

Me

If the stove is provided by the landlord (furnished / teilmöblierte apartment), which is usually reflected in the rent, he also has to provide for the repair.
