Display cable is broken, which one should I buy?
The display cable from my father's laptop is defective. The number of the cable is:
50-4VM06.021. I searched everywhere on the Internet and could unfortunately only find a used cable on ebay for 30 euro with the exact same number.
My question now is whether I can also buy a display cable with the number 50-4VM06 .--- or not? Since these are already available for 10 euro and are also brand new.
There are many cables and I would not know what it costs 30 euro unless it is over 10m long. Can you describe the plug in any way? Or even better send a photo?
I just can't take a photo because I would have to take the laptop completely apart again, but here is a link to the ebay article. It's exactly the same cable that I have.
Oh god, that's a laptop cable… Are you sure that it's broken? This seldom breaks in laptops. Unfortunately there's no standard and you will have to take this cable if it is really broken
I have now ordered another one with the number 50-4VM06.002 it worked. The webcam did not work with the old cable but now it works again.
Oh btw the cable now only cost me 7 euro instead of 30 euro.
