My laptop hangs and I can't do anything if I want to open my settings. I just can't do anything I have a Toshiba laptop but it's super slow please help me

An

It may be that you have viruses or even Trojans on it

Ma

I suspect you need to reset it. So you have to reinstall Windows in a classic way.

The hanging can be due to hardware, but also to software (too much garbage)

How quickly does that "hang up"? Can it start normally or does it fail here?

An

Does it only depend on the settings or on everything?

al

So I deleted everything beforehand (garbage data) but it didn't work and I wanted to reset my laptop before that, but it doesn't work because I can't open the setting. When I open it, it opens in 5-10m and only shows the symbol of the setting and 5-10 m later the setting closes again, so my laptop was already reasonably good before that, but now I don't understand why that is

At all

Ma

As a rule, Trojans do no harm, they are only there to transmit information; they are more "harmless" than a real computer virus.

Ma

Do you have a BOOT USB STICK with Windows 10 on it? Or can you do that with another PC or from a buddy?

Then you can reinstall it directly from the stick.

al

Like boot stick you mean a normal usb stick where everything is saved or something if you mean that I don't care because I don't need what's on my laptop and no matter what I open it doesn't want

An

I guess you have a trojan or that your laptop comes from the stone age 😂 sorry

Op

First of all, what kind of laptop do you have? Which processor etc. Second, which operating system do you use? Could it be that you have a program that does a lot in the background? I installed AnyDesk on Linux Mint 19 and that did a lot in the background. Take a look at the task manager. With the little information I have, I can hardly help you any further

Ma

So you can take a normal USB stick (at least 8 GIG) Then you go to the Microsoft website and download a program where you can build a BOOT STICK. Windows 10 will then be downloaded and you can put the USB stick in directly when starting the PC, go into the BIOS and boot directly from the USB stick and install Windows directly

You would just have to create the boot stick from another working PC. This takes between 10 and 45 minutes, depending on the internet connection

Well, I don't know exactly because I received it recently, but as I said, I can't open anything and don't look at what it is, but there's a sticker on the bottom of my laptop because it says model name: SATELLITE C50-B-14E

Op

The model name helped. Everything looks fine from the hardware (i.e. Relatively new hardware). Could it be that you dropped your laptop or was exposed to other forces (shaking, beating, etc.)? Or as already mentioned here, a virus. If you download files in the future, check them for http://www.virustotal.com/...stotal.com. Lg

Well, I recently got the laptop and I didn't even scratch it, so that was so I only deleted a single application, so my one program, my laptop was slow afterwards but also before it was slightly slow but now it's overdone slowly and I also downloaded graphics cards etc. Because I thought I had my laptop faster but I also know my way around laptop 0% but the graphics card had no sign or effect that caused it.
