Use notebook during first battery charge?

Is it possible to load a notebook battery for the first time nowadays while using the notebook? Or does that make problems for the battery?

Quiet can use as you want. Batteries are not used if the AC adapter is plugged in, only charged. There's no difference, the charging electronics in the notebook itself controls everything.
