I just reinstalled Windows, reinstalled my drivers, etc. I have a Surface Laptop and my background image and layout are very different from when I bought it. Personalization has also changed and is harder to use. Can you do something about it?
A new installation is a different variant than the original of the Surface. It is therefore usually more sensible to reset to the factory settings, which is possible with many pre-installed PCs / laptops / notebooks.
Microsoft writes https://support.microsoft.com/...3b45e0fb1: for the Surface
Is there a possible way to download the variant. It's primarily about design-related things.
The original software is also supplied separately as an image (that's why you can reset to the factory settings).
However, if you've shot this recovery partition, you can read https://windows-nachrichten.de/wiederherstellungsabbild-fur-oberflachengerate-herunterladen/ here.
It's not just design matters, but also other drivers, etc…
That's why you write too
is harder to use
The problem was easier to solve than expected. By severe condition I meant that, for example, my tile and start page can no longer be changed as before. I could change the background again. I just had to update the icons and apps. And I've already installed all of the drivers. The only thing, as I said, is the personalization that works differently now, but I think you can find it again after browsing through something
I've now also solved the last problem. It really had to do with updates. And some digging around in the settings
