I have a new monitor gehohlt. And it connected to HDMI 2.1. According to HDMI 2.1, I can recognize up to 120hz, but that is not displayed to me. Can't use DP because I have a laptop.
What's your MOnitor's name?
Acer Predator XB241Hbmipr (24 ", 1920x1080 pixels)
If you are using an NVIDIA card, you should be able to change the frequency in the NVIDIA Control Panel under "Resolution" (or something similar).
Already looked is only 60hz
And does your laptop have HDMI Output for HDMI 2.1?
I do not think so…
No need!
From HDMI 1.4 on FullHD also 120Hz are possible.
For a 4K playback at 120Hz then HDMI 2.1 is required.

Good to know
Which Nvidia Graka is installed in the laptop?
Maybe this special graphics solution can't play 120Hz at all…
In laptops / notebooks like simplified graphics solutions are installed, since the requirements are usually not so high and also power can be saved.
A battery life as long as possible has the highest priority.
