I got a new monitor yesterday that supports 4k 60hz when I connect it to my laptop and set 4k, but I can only select a maximum of 30hz. It shouldn't be because of the HDMI cable. I have already tested several HDMI cables. Can you help me?
The next lower resolution (2560x1440) works with 60hz without any problems
I have an Intel Graphics 4400 which Intel says should have a resolution of 3280x2000 @ 60Hz on the product page. In addition, my laptop also has a GeForce 840m with 2gb vRAM.
My guess would be that my laptop has a 1.4 HDMI output and therefore 4k @ 60hz is not possible.
Would it be possible to transmit 4k @ 60hz with an HDMI → Display Port Adapter? Because Display Port 1.2 already supports 4k @ 60hz
4k 60hz is only possible with Displayport
