I have a small laptop, so I got the idea to connect the laptop to my television with an HDMI cable. The question is is there a delay? I heard that you need a better HDMI cable, yes, no, which one?!
Basically, the delay depends more on the television. You don't actually need a new HDMI cable for this. If you want to be on the safe side, look for HDMI 2.0 or 2.1. These are the latest standards.

Try and test.
The slowest is the TV, so there's usually something like gaming mode or something. Because modern televisions process the picture and that takes time.
Or why are you interested in the delay because another cable is probably not the solution.
Because I don't want to play with delay
