Where (on which websites) can I find information on whether the battery was permanently installed, or can be removed. The article descriptions usually lack a hint.
A few weeks ago I got a used HP Pro-Book with Intel Core i3-4310M for 250 Euro overhauled with 1 year warranty from a commercial dealer.
8GB DDR3 - 1600, 128GB SSD, Intel HD 4600 and Windows 7 - 64 Pro inclu. Battery removable, but not very cheap in original new purchase. But the base was worth it to me.
I would recommend an external burner. For example, this: https://www.bueromarkt-ag.de/brenner_hitachi-lg_gp57eb40_super_multi_dvd,p-gp57eb40,l-google-prd,pd-b2c.html This does not need an additional power supply. This also has the advantage that you only have to plug it in if you need it. That benefits the battery life.
As a burning software I recommend this: https://www.ashampoo.com/de/eur/pin/5410/brennprogramme/burning-studio-2019 This is a free full version that can compete with the paid Nero.
To burn movies / videos to DVD I recommend this: https://www.dvdstyler.org/de/ This is a complete DVD authoring software. It converts the source material into DVD-Video data structures (VOB files) and burns them to a blank DVD that you can then play on any DVD player. You can also use it to create a DVD menu and divide it into chapters.
I also have this burner and I'm fully satisfied with it. As a burning software I also use the two mentioned recommendations.
Define well.
