Is ElderScrolls worth it: Skyrim for me?

I want to start gaming. When I did my research, I came across ElderScrolls: Skyrim. I'm looking for a bit of variety and a lot of magic. So where it does not count "Whoever shoots the biggest fireball is the strongest", but where there are many different types of magic, for example healing magic, attack magic, conjuring magic, … So it shouldn't be too much action, but rather something "nerdy". But what about these mods or add-ons. Do they change the game very much?

And now to my notebook (since I have not played much or no gaming so far, I have only needed one notebook so far)

CPU: Intel i5 5200U

Graphics (card): Intel Graphics 5500

Ram: 8GB

And a SSD

You can also consider that I bought this notebook used.

Is it worth it for me? So whether everything on min. 40FPS is running and whether the game is suitable for me? Or can you recommend other games to me?

De

I definitely recommend skyrim to everyone! For me it is one of the best games ever after more than 10 years of gaming experience

Unfortunately, I don't think your laptop can handle it.

If you want to see that, feel free to drop by me 😁✌️

Leave love there 👍🏻❤️

Yes, the computer can handle it.

The requirements are minimal:

Windows 7 / Vista / XP (32 or 64 bit)
Processor: Dual-core CPU with at least 2.0 gigahertz (GHz)
2 gigabytes of RAM
6 gigabytes of hard disk space
Graphics card: DirectX 9c compatible with 512 megabytes of RAM
Sound card: DirectX 9c compatible
Internet access (steam activation)

But since it is used, I was worried. I'm also satisfied with quite low settings.

Ya

It's definitely worth it.
You can let off steam as you please.
Many hours, days and weeks of fun await you.

I've been playing it since 2014. And still can't stop it.
See if the next part comes out…

Oh yes, the mods. My recommendation: First play completely vanilla and then look for mods that embellish the game.

Have lots of fun with it!

You should probably buy the skyrim legendary edition. The special edition will probably not run properly for you: https://www.mmoga.de/Steam-Games/The-Elder-Scrolls-V-Skyrim-Legendary-Edition.html

or even cheaper here: https://www.kinguin.net/category/1231/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-legendary-edition-steam-key

Skyrim personally brought me many great hours. It has a great main story and numerous side quests in an open game world.

There are many skills that can be leveled (one-handed sword fighting, blocking, various spells, pickpocketing, sneaking, etc.). Because there are many skill options, you can play the game several times and level other branches.

Of course there's magic in the game too. (Even a quest line in a magician academy) Here you can level, for example, destruction, illusion, summoning, healing, etc.

I think you will like the game. You just have to "think it through" first, because it can also be a bit overwhelming for newcomers because of the many possibilities.

I'm not sure if your laptop will make it, because I'm playing it on the PS4.

Well, actually he also meets the recommended ones for the SE

Windows 7 / 8.1 / 10 (64-bit version)
Intel i5-2400 / AMD FX-8320.
8 GB RAM.
12 GB hard disk space
NVIDIA GTX 780 3GB / AMD R9 290 4GB

Do you know what an hd 5500 is?

Po

I hope you really mean

"The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim" and not
"The ElderScrolls Online: Skyrim"

(This should appear this year and makes differences!)

Of course Skyrim is still worth it! Gronkh (Largest German Lets Player) is now playing it too.

Addons / DLCs:

Recommended! These are the 3 extensions directly from Bethesda!

(Hearthfire; Dragonborn and Dawnguard)

Buy now and play immediately! The opponents scale with your level! (It's not all easy on easy… But that's another topic!)

Mods:

There are probably millions of mods.

It starts with cosmetic mods, additional quest lines and places of residence up to total conversions! You have to choose what you need! (Only you can decide!)

I can only advise you not to install mods first, then you can e.g. Check out on Steam what you haven't done and where you could go! Unfortunately graphics mods disable the system too!

Some of the things you can achieve by chance, depending on how you play!

Ne built-in graphics in the processor, the Task Manager says that it has 4GB VRam

Sh

Can an Xbox One do it?

Te

Yes, definitely

Basically a laptop from 2009 would pack the game, the only question is how much fps the game should have. So under 60 is uncomfortable at least
