Is my graphics card suitable for gaming?

I've just discovered something on my 8-year-old laptop and the laptop belonged to my parents but I got it a few years ago

I wanted to ask if this graphics card is suitable for gaming: Nvidia GEFORCE GT 240M

because I was surprised that my slightly newer games (except Fortnite) still work well even though my laptop is already a bit old.

So again the question: Is my graphics card suitable for gaming?

Gu

No, absolutely not. Laptop graphics cards are primarily designed so either way. In addition, the 240M is almost 8 years old and technically probably not even get the games of the last 6 years properly on the series.

Of course that depends on what kind of games it is. As already written who is Tetris is also a game, as well as chess, etc. The course run with it.

But real games that rely on complex 3D structures etc. Are in another universe.

As a comparison: The Gtx 1050 is just enough for Full HD gaming, and comes in very many games to the limits.

The results speak for themselves.

I take it very briefly:

No, this graphics card is definitely not for gaming.

With this graphics card you have less power than with most current laptops that do not even have a graphics card. Because even the small, integrated graphics chips are faster today than this GPU, and even if the integrated graphics chips are not suitable for gaming, you can conclude how this graphics card is. It is weaker than the weakest, current graphics chips for laptops.

The NVidia GeForce GT 240M may be able to grab games from 2006 through 2011.

Modern, up-to-date and challenging games will not work with the NVidia GeForce GT 240M.

For modern, current and challenging games z.b. Something like an NVidia GeForce GTX 1050 needed.

I use the AMD Radeon HD 7550M / 7650M with 2GB VRam for the games I play day and night. This is not exactly one of the strongest graphics cards, but for me it's normal games of the current time are enough for this graphics card.

At UserBenchmark I once compared the performance between the NVidia GeForce GT 240M and the AMD Radeon HD 7550M / 7650M. The evaluation shows the clear result: https://gpu.userbenchmark.com/...96vsm10887
