I want to get a gaming PC. I'm just not sure which processor is best for gaming. I found a gaming laptop with an Intel Core i5. The PCs that I have in mind, however, have processors from AMD and in general I find few PCs with Intel processors. Can you help me further, so which processor is better suited? I'd rather get a PC than a laptop, the above was just an example now.
So even if the Intel are usually a little better in gaming, I would take AMD. The new 5000 series in particular is extremely powerful.
Since you have not mentioned a budget or the like, nobody can help you here.
I always rely on Intel because AMD messed things up with me at the beginning. Since Intel is more expensive, you will logically find more AMD in the price segment you are probably looking at.
Intel is more expensive, but it also offers more performance.
I only had problems with AMD, so I'm an Intel fan:-) Never have problems with it!
At the moment, AMD are a bit more powerful and significantly more efficient than comparable processors from Intel. The only downside is poor availability.
