I have a more complicated and weird problem than the title might suggest.

I had a PC assembled by Mindfactory which worked very well and performed well. I recently had a problem with this when I ran out of memory. When I looked more closely, I noticed that 8.25 GB are reserved for the system. I tried to fix this problem myself where I found out that this problem could be solved in the bios.

When I tried to get into the bios, through every possibility I found online, my monitor no longer received a signal from my pc, even though it was on. E.g. I pressed shift + restart and tried to get into the bios so that my monitor no longer receives a signal as I said or when I try to push the button into the bios the same thing happens.

However, this is not my real problem. It was annoying because I was lying there but not too bad. Today a friend had the idea that in msconfig I cut the maximum memory down to a size which is sufficient for the operating system so that the rest is available '' I was very sure that it didn't work, but he managed to persuade me at least try it out. And so I set it to 400 mb and restarted.

The restart was very slow and I was getting scared but eventually I came to the desktop but I couldn't do anything even though I wanted to put it back immediately.

Then I wanted to undo it in the extended start menu with shift + restart before I logged in but after the restart of the pc it went on but gave no signal to the monitor.

Since then I haven't got a picture anymore and according to my theory I could always go to the bios or uefi due to an error when starting which I only used as a black screen as I said at the beginning. I have already tried different keys and key combinations and space bar and enter provide one type restart of the pc the usb connections reconnect several times and the debug display briefly shows several error messages before they go away like with a normal start.

In order to fix this problem, I have so far removed the cmos battery and put the ram in and out again and put the graphics card and in different places so far without success. I also tested the monitor and the HDMI cable, but they worked with my laptop.

I would appreciate any help and I hope you can help me with this problem.

Bios reset. Take out the battery. Your friend has no idea, lg

(Leave 5min outside)

I assume you mean the CMOS battery? As I said, I had already taken it out and unfortunately it didn't work. Anyways thanks for your help.

Cmos reset? Touch both pins.

Did you connect the monitor to the HDMI port on the mainboard or the graphics card. If nothing works right now, you can try the former. To get into your BIOS, the F2 should actually be enough.

Limiting the memory in msconfig doesn't sound like a good idea. Instead, try something in this direction (as soon as the PC comes on again)

So far I've tried every HDMI connection with the same effect.
