I have a little problem with my gaming laptop again. It jerks in games like Fortnite on worst graphics and it is of course no fun anymore. I've already done so much to optimize the laptop as downloading Booser apps, rendering on performance, defragmenting hard drives, resetting my laptop, and other things, but nothing really helps. If the laptop is junk, can I fix this error by resetting the laptop and cleaning the drive (so far I have only ever taken the faster version without drive cleaning) or do you have any other tips for me?
Thanks in advance! LG ArtzzPlays
Technical specifications:
Install MSI Afterburner and see all the workloads and temperatures of the components. Maybe it's the RAM, 8GB are not much to gamble in the background when things are still open. Is that the case in every game?
Otherwise reinstall Windows. It may well be that the thermal paste is dried at temperatures. That's why I never recommend laptops, for me it's the same problem. To buy a PC always buy, if possible!
Should I just reset the laptop and clean up the drive? Then Windows is indeed reinstalled? So far, I have always taken the variant without drive cleaning and has not changed anything.
Use the Taksmanager to check whether background programs, such as An update, slow your system down.
As a next step I recommend you to dust the laptop properly. Drive it completely down and use a vacuum cleaner to clean all air outlets.
If you still have problems after that, check the temperatures of the processors with a suitable program. If they are still too high, you should open your device to check the ventilation and if necessary clean again or replace the fan if necessary.
At the moment, only play two games, Fortnite and Apex Legends, and Apex is a bit faster and I can play it at 1920x1080.
But then something is wrong. Did you disable the internal graphics card or do you run the games with the Nvidia? Does not sound like that…
So I should disable the internal and play on the nvidia? And what is the internal? Which of intel?
