PC with young age?

Halli Hello, I'm currently 13 and will be 14 in August. I wanted to ask what your assessment is from what age a PC would be suitable, I'm quite mature for my age but don't really think I would get a PC for my birthday. I also wanted to ask if it is worth buying some kind of gaming laptop? (Of course with the mouse)

If yes, you can also post a few amazon recommendations, I would not buy an expensive one, rather a mediocre one.

Got an omen 15 for my 15th (past yeah haha). But I'm not very satisfied with the performance! Better not get an omen. It's like an Apple product. Expensive but nothing behind it.

Hi, is your parents' decision. When you are mature I would allow you to. In general, a PC is ok from 13/14 onwards, when people are mature. I hope you are lucky and your parents give you the pc.

I will remember ^^ ty

I started playing on my father's PC when I was 10. And am now an avid computer gamer. Since I've never assembled a PC, and I don't think you can either, I would just take a look at sites like mifcom or similar and then google the individual parts. Gaming laptop is less worthwhile because you can almost get a decent computer for the money

Yes, the only problem is that I can well imagine that a 500 euro gaming PC is too much for my mother, I don't need that much for a good pc setup. I have Astro A40 headset that has great sound. Unfortunately, I think that my mother doesn't really understand the idea behind it and generally doesn't support my hobby that much.

Au

Maybe you have a friend who helps you build a PC because then you can buy individual PC parts and then it's cheaper overall than if you buy a finished PC.

Sorry to you that your mother doesn't support your hobby properly

Thank you very much!

I could well imagine someone helping me or my brother but can you build a good gaming pc for less than 500 euro?

Au

Well not, but a subtle one. It always depends on what you're doing with it. And depending on that, you have to meet the system requirements.

Or

So I asked for a PC when I was 13 and then bought it at the end of 14, it too late because I was waiting for my parents' permission. If I were you, I would exchange with my parents what they think of it and always remember that you might be better off saving a little before you just buy a PC out of willpower and that is almost out of date after 1 or 2 years and buy it for yourself no finished Pc so no one had good experiences with the price alone.

You are welcome

Even as a child I had a PC on which I sometimes played games like Stronghold, AoE or Diablo 2, but I only really started playing when I got a PS2. Up until the PS4, it was mainly on the console and only then did I build a PC again when I was 19.

It just depends on how your parents feel. If you want something to play with, I actually think a PC is better, because it can also be used for office and school and thus has added value.

And I would always recommend that you choose the individual parts yourself. You don't even have to assemble it yourself, many shops offer this for an extra charge.

La

Thank you very much.

Yes, I agree, my parents don't often buy me games or psn cards. And I can't finance most of the games myself. There are so many good free games on Steam and other game shops that I think I might be able to persuade my mother.

So you already have a PS4. Then the main reason to get a PC would be Office. This is how you can explain this to your parents. You can play on the PS4 anyway, a PC doesn't change anything.
