DHL if I wrap my laptop in the original packaging is enough for DHL if transport damage arises?
DHL only covers the damage if the carton is also damaged. If you are unsafe enough to secure the laptop then you will not be liable.
But if something is broken in the laptop and I know that it has arisen by the transport they have to pay?
As written, no, only if the package is broken.
So of course if I have packed it safely
If you pack it safely, nothing will break.
Well it can happen times
Is an original package sufficient or do I have to put in extra material there?
Every day, tens of thousands of laptops are sent in their original packaging. However with the DHL express. At the DHL package we do not have that many laptops. There it is much easier to steal than the Express ^^
I have already shipped thousands of (4-5000) notebooks via DHL, of which only very few had received any transport damage.
There are even new notebooks individually shipped in the original box although the OVP is usually not suitable for single shipment but for pallet shipping.
An OVP is still much better than most people tinker together, you can expect that the notebook arrives in the OVP error-free. (I have already received notebook which was only once wrapped with newsprint)
The problems with OVP's comes only with a transport damage. For most providers these rules are approximately uniform. The package (up to 10kg) must be packed so that it will survive a fall of 80cm height even on an edge or corner and a padding all around (not just top and bottom) will have the goods at least 5cm. If it is not so, a claim for damages is mostly rejected.
