Do I have a virus on my computer?

I downloaded a virus to test my anti virus program. I know I'm very stupid. Unfortunately it didn't work out and then weird things happened.

Nothing was downloaded, but somehow I had the background image from my sister's laptop and had the same settings. How did the virus connect to my sister's laptop? Then I turned off my laptop and Windows started up. When I turned the laptop back on, the settings were still the same as my sister's. I changed the settings now and I didn't notice anything else and the laptop works fine.

But can there still be viruses there? Church web this website is called and it is really weird.

I can tell you one thing for the next time:

use a virtual machine if you want to test a virus. Virtual machine is a virtual PC.

What does your antivirus program actually say when you do a quick scan?

I do think that there could still be viruses. The best thing to do is to reset your PC to the factory settings → Reset

Unfortunately nothing. It's so scary that I just have the same background image and Windows color. Could it be that my phone could also be hacked? What should I do now?

The best thing to do, as MCRibPaul said, is to reset the laptop
