I wanted to ask if someone has a solution to my problem. And I want to close my laptop without the standby mode being activated when I have an external monitor connected. But I want him to go on standby when no external monitor is connected and I shut down the laptop.
Can we adjust this someway?
In the energy settings, you can specify exactly what should happen when closing. But I'm not at the laptop to see if it's as filigree as you want it to be.
Windows offers with in-house means unfortunately only the possibility to put the laptop in the stand-by mode, or not. Unfortunately, there's no distinction as to whether it is connected to an external monitor or not. It can only be distinguished between mains operation and battery operation.
At best, this could be done via an external tool, which regularly polls which monitors are connected and then adjusts the power settings accordingly. Unfortunately I'm not aware of such a tool.
