I have had problems with my laptop for a few weeks. Recently I had the antivir of AVG (freeware) on it. When I did a complete examination, it slowed down. After my laptop has barely loaded programs without "program does not respond", I've thrown down the antivirus and installed Kaspersky Internet Security on it, it got a little better. Now I try to format my laptop (win7 Ultimate 64 bit) with a USB and play the same OS. Hardly that I want to boot from the stick and select it in the BIOS comes the message "0x00000050" and "corrupt files". What can I do to find out which files are corrupt and he just starts the installation?

Here's a hint: I would upgrade to Windows 10. With the Windows 7 Product Key you can also activate Windows 10 for free. To do this, first read out and write down the Windows 7 Product Key with this tool: https://www.chip.de/...63752.html Since they have Windows 7 Ultimate, they even get Windows 10 Professional.

By 2020, Windows 7 support will be completely discontinued.

Then download the Media Creation Tool from the Microsoft site. So you can create a Windows 10 installation USB bootstick.

Just boot the created stick. The installer offers the possibility to completely delete the hard disk. During the installation the laptop will be restarted several times. After the installation and the first start the setup assistant comes. It is recommended to create a Microsoft account. Finally, the activation is carried out with the read out Windows 7 Product Key. The activation will then be permanently saved in your Microsoft account.

If you have to reinstall Windows 10, just log in again with your Microsoft account. Windows 10 will be activated again automatically.

Under Windows 10, I would stay with the virus protection Defender which is included with Windows 10. For emergencies, I would also create a Kaspersky Rescue USB bootstick. It works like this:

Install this tool: https://www.balena.io/...io/etcher/ This is called balenaEtcher, so you can create from ISO bootable USB sticks.
Download Kaspersky Rescue Disk ISO: https://support.kaspersky.com/de/viruses/krd2018

Insert a blank formatted USB stick.
start balenaEtcher. Then open the Kaspersky Rescue Disk ISO at Select Image, select the stick at Select drive and then click on Flash.
When the stick is finished, just boot this stick and scan the system. This can take a while, depending on the size of the hard disk / SSD.
