Connect 2 monitors to laptop

. I connected a monitor to my laptop using an HDMI cable. Now I wanted to connect a second monitor but that was not possible because the VGA cable does not have space next to the HDMI cable connection (because of the devices for the screws left and right). I have not found any VGA cables without screws on the Internet. What could I do? Thank you in advance.

Simply carefully saw off the excess plug with a small jigsaw. Then fix it with two dots of superglue if the plug threatens to fall apart.

There are no narrow VGA cables or adapters. But you could saw the side off. I don't see any other possibility here.

I'm actually sure that there's something and I had one for my old laptop at home.

But actually find nothing on Amazon and co.

First of all, it may be that way. In other words, the two connections can be directly connected to each other internally and the graphics card only supports an external monitor, for example.

I could imagine that the output on the board is a DVI connector, which is then split to VGA and HDMI. However, only one monitor can be connected to such a connection. The connector positioning is now intentionally such that the simultaneous connection of 2 monitors is simply not mechanically possible.

It may also be that the technicians did not think of building a VGA cable during development, but that would be very unusual. Such arrangements are usually intentional.

If you want to try it, you can saw off the connector from the side or buy a DSUB connector online and solder the cable yourself. Since the plugs on the side usually only have one sheet, you can easily get them down.
