If I work seasonal in Switzerland and buy a laptop over the Internet in Germany and have it sent to Switzerland, do I have to pay tax?
I would ask this question directly to the Swiss tax authorities, that is easier.
It probably also makes a difference whether you have it delivered directly by the company or whether someone buys you the part in Germany and then sends it from private.
Do you live in Switzerland? You have to pay the Swiss value added tax (VAT) plus the postal customs clearance fee. You must make sure that the seller does not charge the German VAT, otherwise you pay the VAT double.
