Laptop with 2GB RAM is enough for surfing the Internet?

I found a laptop on ebay classifieds for 2 gigabytes of RAM and 80 GB hard drive you think that's enough for the Internet

br

Is it compatible with Windows 10?

Otherwise Windows 10 32bit or a small Linux.

Will be pretty slow one way or another.

What kind of CPU is installed.

But that's an old box, why don't you get a normal laptop 400 euro HP 16GB RAM 1TB storage

De

That is probably enough for surfing. The number of open windows probably doesn't matter. The way you describe the computer, it should be quite old. With that he will be very slow. Great to install any programs will hardly be possible with 80 GB.

To be honest: I'd rather buy something newer and maybe invest twice as much. You quickly become demanding in terms of speed and the available storage space and then you just get annoyed.

Yes, that would be enough for surfing the Internet, listening to music or watching a video. The question is: how old is the device. The general statements here that it would be an outdated device are initially incorrect. In fact, small laptops with 2-4 GB of RAM, 32-128 GB of flash memory and Windows 10 Starter were still sold by Lenovo until a year ago. I own such a MIIX 320 system myself. Unfortunately the one with only 32GB Flash RAM. I installed Windows 10 Pro. Unfortunately, the 32 GB are not enough to update Windows. But after compressing the system and relocating the download to a USB stick, it worked.

An 80 GB hard disk should be enough to install Windows, make updates and even install an Office package.

Of course, such a system is not very fast and you often have to wait until the memory has been scooped up in order to be able to start another program. But it is definitely enough for surfing.

It also depends on what the part should cost. For a MIIX 320 I would spend a maximum of 100-200 euro today. Depending on the existing hardware.

In order to be able to make a more precise statement, more information would be required:

Which device?

Which operating system?

Which processor?

At what price?

Which year of construction?

The question arises as to how old the device is. If this is too old then no current Windows version would run on it or it would be unbearably slow. In general, the hardware you specified would be sufficient for surfing. If you are only interested in surfing and can also come to terms with a very stripped-down and confusing Word alternative, then Linux would be the best operating system for you. But keep in mind that the laptop will take a long time to start unless you change the hardware.

Uiii, he's really very old. I wouldn't even take it for free. I have already disposed of a number of such notebooks for my customers. The AKKU will definitely be over. So no longer usable as a notebook.

It should be a bit newer.

Only 2GB Ram and Windows Vista I would leave it

Oh you big egg.

But that is definitely still possible. It doesn't matter how old it is, the main thing is that it works
