So I switched from Windows to macOS. I find that macOS is just a little more fluid and pleasant. The Apple ecosystem also has some advantages.
There are also some programs for macOS that are not available for Windows. Final Cut, for example, is just awesome. There are also alternatives for Office 365: Numbers, Keynote and Pages. Of course, you can also use the classic Microsoft Office applications.
I can't recommend a Mac to you. If you really only want to surf, watch films and use Office applications, a Windows PC or notebook will do the same. The price-performance ratio of the new Macs with M1 is really good.

I have to agree with you on your first point. Macs aren't necessarily expensive, though. A Windows notebook in the same price range can't keep up in terms of performance.

Well, back then the Mac mini was pretty much useless. But definitely with the M1! There's already an optimized beta for Photoshop that is doing really well. Plus, Rosetta 2 isn't bad, definitely better than a $ 800 computer with Windows.
