The only ways to speed up your laptop with little effort are likely to be to add more RAM (which only works if you take full advantage of it) or, if you don't already have one, to install an SSD. The best thing to do is to find out more.
No, that's not how it works (unfortunately). You can only install a more powerful CPU and increase the RAM if necessary. With some high-quality laptops, a better GPU can also be installed. But that's about it. There's no increase in performance using USB and can't be implemented technically, since even with USB 3.1 the data throughput would be too low.

According to your description, the soldered CPU is the bottleneck. You can't do a lot there.
Either you will find a specialist workshop that can still replace the CPU without the risk of this intervention (if they can't guarantee success, then leave it alone).
