Why do I get a blue screen?

I'm currently getting a blue screen on my laptop at regular intervals. The last time was just now. The message always comes up that an error has occurred and that information needs to be collected. Then the laptop shuts down and restarts. I don't know if that is a coincidence, but this has always happened now, if I had Google Earth on for more than 10 minutes, that's exactly how it was. Otherwise it never happens, is that because of Google Earth?

You should check the PC hardware.

There are some life systems in the network for this. I recommend an emergency CD from the PC magazines. Chip, PC world or computer image

You simply buy a computer picture magazine with CD / or DVD and with the CD / DVD in it, which contains an emergency CD, you can carry out a repair.

This emergency CD, a USB stick can also be used, also helps in other "Windows" everyday life, e.g. For RAM testing or other tests of the PC.

Read and also the download goes to z. B.:

Do I have to back up my data beforehand or can I leave them on the laptop without any problems?

Usually nothing happens to your hard drive. The CD / USB stick is inserted and then the laptop is switched on (then it should be started from the CD / stick (called "booting"). If the CD / stick is not started, the startup sequence of the drives on this CD must be set in the BIOS / Stick can be set.

By the way, a reasonably up-to-date backup is always useful. If something breaks, it is not announced in advance and if it is broken, everything is gone without a backup!
