AMD or Intel?

Would you rather have a laptop with an AMD Ryzen 5-4500 processor or an Intel Corei5?

su

I wanted to get exactly one with the processor last, but unfortunately it was sold out. So amd

Sc

Intel

Cu

They are both about equally good, it is more important with the laptop that you have 8 GB RAM, at least 250 GB SSD, 1920x1080 pixels, a strong battery, and I think you should take at least 15 ".

If you want to play too, the most important thing is the graphics card.

La

The two take almost nothing in the field of performance. If you want to use the laptop or PC for gaming, you will need a powerful graphics card, a larger screen anyway (otherwise it's no fun), etc.

ca

Fun is subjective, and what you're saying is pure BS. Power? 1650 is already strong enough in a laptop. Intel Core i5 1035G4? Absolutely.

I find it really sad that some people think everyone has to spend 10k before they can play any good or something. A friend of mine who plays Fortnite (AND NO; HE IS NOT A FORTNITE KIDDIE) beats everyone at his 60FPS.

ca

Unfortunately, that's not true either. 8GB RAM is not enough even for the old GTA and 16GB is the sweet spot to run everything. Nothing less, nothing more.

SSD sounds good, resolution too, even if min. 120Hz in the panel are desirable. As far as I know, there are no gaming laptops under 15 ".

And no, the graphics card is not the most important - old Ryzen with ner 2070 is a bad combination. There has to be a good balance. FS 2020 is a good example, my CPU is 100% used, my graphics card is 30%. That's why I'm going to buy a new CPU.

Cu

This is about buying a new cheap laptop, the games don't run at 120 FPS anyway, but often only at 40-60 FPS.

And the Lula77 may not want to play at all.

ca

A 120Hz panel is always desirable, regardless of whether it is a game or not. But yes, I have to agree with you - nothing was mentioned about performance, even if nothing was mentioned about budget.

La

Tf? A 3080 is not automatically powerful. I had nothing to complain about with the processor anyway.
That you have to spend 10k purest BS from your side, the statement from a large screen is only the truth, I would be reluctant to play my games on a 12-14 inch screen and more towards 17 inches.

ca

What is powerful for you today, if you mean? A 1050 or what?

I had nothing to complain about with the processor anyway.

Moin, the two do almost nothing when it comes to performance.

Ah yes. Really not?

It may well be that a 7 inch screen is not for gaming, but what do you buy a laptop for if you have to leave it in place anyway because it is too heavy and big for a backpack? Transportable is more likely in the direction of max 2.3kg, while mine weighs 2.1, so you don't have to drag a 3kg monster with you.

Cu

Yes, of course you're right: 120/144 Hz are really great, and once you've got used to it, you don't want to be without it. 😊

La

The two don't take anything? If you could understand, you would know that I compared the two together in this sentence.

ca

Oh, that's different. Yes, I'm Austrian, I don't know some Swiss proverbs.

La

No thing haha
