Windows screen rotate alternative?

I have an HP laptop with Windows 7 Home Premium. Unfortunately, I can't rotate the screen there. I tried it like this:

1) Via the screen settings (there's no turning function there)
2) Tried to activate the function via Regedit (AutoRotation), but I don't have it in regedit
3) Using the keyboard with various abbreviations is also not possible.

How could I still make it or where can I activate this function?

Place the screen upright. Or set in the image playback program.

Yes, of course ;-) But then I also see the picture twisted.

There's a plugin that you have to download and run and then it works.
