I have a Fritzbox 7490 as a DSL router.
Connected via LAN: NAS and a Fritzbox 7360 two floors below.
Connected via WLAN is among others An hp printer.
The 7360 in the basement creates its own network. Internet works. From this network / WLAN, however, I can neither reach the NAS nor the printer in the primary network of the 7490.
Is it because of any setting that I don't understand or is it because the 7360 can't MESH?
The aim is that I e.g. I'm somewhere in the house with my laptop and can control all network devices.
Then configure the second router as a Wi-Fi access point.
Hello Over9000IQ, thanks for the quick reply. The 7360 is the access point. A computer is connected via LAN, cell phones and a laptop via WLAN. Internet works too. Only network access from or into the primary network of the 7490 is not.
Or do I get something wrong?
You also have to configure that if you just connect the 7360 it works as an independent router and you drive double nat.
In addition, you are not allowed to go into the WAN port on the second router, but in a normal LAN port the WAN port remains free on the second router.
Over9000IQ - that was the solution! Great, thank you very much. Here is the AVM website for anyone interested: https://avm.de/...inrichten/
