I have organized the following laptop for a friend:

Now the following problem. The image output is terribly bad. On the desktop, everything looks fine, but when you surf and in the browser quickly or very quickly scrolls up and down, the display does not even build the lyrics. This blurs everything into a porridge and always takes a fraction of a second to be played clean again and really sharp. I have neither with my own old HP laptop with i5 6200u, nor the new with i5 8250u, both with Intel Graphics. Can it be due to settings of the Ryzen 5 2500u?

Unfortunately, we had no external output source to test whether the screen itself is defective or cheap goods. In principle, this should then be able to be played back normally with a connected screen.

Oh yes, I have installed Win10 instead of the operating system FreeDOS. But in the Hertz number, etc. Should be synonymous everything fit.

Can someone help?

Have you downloaded and installed the right Windows 10 x64 graphics driver from AMD for the Ryzen 5 - 2500U with its integrated Vega 8 graphics?

The native resolution of the display is 1600 × 900 pixels. (Let's see if this resolution is set too). Since this notebook is technologically equipped with an IPS display, sensitive natures could be found here e.g. In the case of fast scrolling of writing, there's a slight tendency towards streaking compared to the more regular TN panels. The color brilliance, brightness and viewing angle dependence of IPS are significantly better than those of TN.

Check the advanced settings of your internet browser to see if the hardware-accelerated display is activated for HTML content and any other graphic options. If not, activate this time.

Can it be due to settings of the Ryzen 5 2500u?

-> no

The standard driver for Windows is not optimal for the on-board solution from AMD. One should pull the appropriate from the AMD side and install, then the problem is also off the table. The problem is when the Ryzen Mobile versions came to market Windows had no suitable driver in the DB. So the standard drivers were just funniest as they should be, standard. The Intel HD graphics have the sinful disadvantage that you can never achieve the performance of the AMD Vega graphics units. For this also the suitable driver must be installed. Unfortunately, the maintenance of drivers under Windows has generally suffered in recent months. I also use an AMD Ryzen Mobile in an HP laptop model and there funzt the box Astrein with the standard drivers. Currently I use the latest Mainline Kernel 5.0 under Linux Mint Mate 19.1. Currently I play with it (although graphics performance is slightly lower) for it. But also games like Florensia or Neverwinter Night, Assassin Creed, WOW and other games run absolutely liquid.
