How does the card reader work on an HP Elitebook?

I have the Hp Elitebook 8560p. I want to know if I can read a 32Gb SanDisk card with my laptop

. Or do I need a USB adapter for this? If my laptop can do this, do I have to install drivers or a program so that the computer can read the card?

What you have there's a SmartCard reader.

A card reader is usually installed in the front of the EliteBooks and not on the side.
