Laptop heats up when used as a tablet?

I have had the hp envy x360, 13 inches for a few weeks and whenever I write on the screen, the laptop blows a lot louder and gets warm. Then I'm afraid that the ZU gets warm.

Is that normal?

Whenever I use the keyboard again, it is much quieter, but I can't do my lectures so well without a pen

I thought maybe the fan is covered, but it is on the side, so that is where the warm air comes out, so it really can't be.

The online lectures for this semester will soon begin and I would rather be prepared for the device

What should happen?

If it is not dirty that the air circulation is blocked, nothing can happen. If it does, the device switches itself off. However, very unlikely.

Find that with the blow all the time a bit strange

that happens even if I only have one note, nothing else.

Is the same on my Lenovo Y730.

With you do all HP / Windows updates. Unfortunately, the thinner and lighter the notebook / tablets are, the more the fan runs.

From Bios Update to Bios Update on my Lenovo it got better and better.

I can't quite judge that with the model because I use a Pavilion X360. But I can't hear any annoying loud noises and honestly I don't know how loud your Envy is.

Does it just bother you? Or is it still audible at some distance?

It can also be a sign of higher occupancy. Check the workloads of the individual programs in the Task Manager. Maybe something is working in the background.

Apparently I have the most current updates, so in the settings, everything is up to date. I didn't find the laptops so loud at my friends in college, now I have mine and I'm at home

Sure, when I sit in front of it in tablet mode, I find that noisy. I can't hear anything with the keyboard outside, that's why I notice it.

in tablet mode i can still hear that when i'm a few steps away. When I check the temperature, it's usually around 40-55, which is normal, as far as I know. Maybe I have to get used to it because my old laptop wasn't even a convertible.

The laptop was expensive, I'm already thinking

Yes, this is (unfortunately) completely normal and due to the compact design.

The thinner and smaller they are, the more difficult it is to cool down the hardware with passive cooling.

I hope I could help you anyway, stay healthy and happy Easter 🐰

At UNI, other background noises are distracting and you are not sitting right in front of your friends' devices… So it is always noticeable when everything is completely quiet like at home
