Got the info from the internet it's a 15.6-inch HD BrightView display with LED backlighting (resolution of 1366 x 768)
Then you have your answer. That is very little.
Even if you set a low resolution, you actually don't see any pixels. I could imagine that there's a good layer of nicotine on it. Or the previous owner screwed up cleaning the display. If the pane has been loosened by cleaning agent (plastic), the refraction of light acts like a magnifying glass! Even with glasses cloths it is indicated whether they are suitable for plastic lenses. Maybe you can make a difference with a suitable cleaner. Otherwise have the display replaced or buy or send back a new device.
