HP 17y007ng laptop slaughter and migrate to new ones?
I have an HP 17y007ng that is still in top condition from the hardware. However, the case is completely over. I'm therefore looking for a new laptop in which I can migrate a large part of my hardware.
Which laptop is recommended for this? Does the HP 17 by series work?
No, this usually doesn't fit mechanically (anymore), since small changes were made internally. The hard drive, memory and possibly CD-ROM still fit, but most of the time it ends with the motherboard.

Depending on what is broken, you can simply buy new housing and add-on parts. Here you will find:

Otherwise there's of course still the possibility to check defective 17y007ng or models with the same housing on eBay:
Everything is damaged (!) from the housing I just don't see it to buy a new laptop just because the exterior is gone.
That would interest me, could you perhaps complete your question above with photos of the case? "Everything" broken sounds awesome.
