I bought a notebook with 8GB RAM and 1X 4GB RAM for the Intel UHD 630
And then again 4GB (and another 4GB dedicated GPU RAM) of my 1050TI
I often cut videos and do photo editing and then it ram up to the brim
Now I would upgrade to 16GB because it's my birthday
Do you think it would be worth it because I'm afraid (I have a six-month guarantee) to damage something
According to Hp, I can do it (nothing stands that if you do this the guarantee is gone)
Do you think it's worth it?
Increasing the RAM memory on a notebook is often more complex than on a stand-alone computer, but it is also generally feasible for the layperson. Upgrading from 8GB to 16GB is definitely worth it.
Okay thanks
Most notebooks have a maintenance hatch with a free slot so that you don't have to unscrew the whole PC. See if that's the case with you too. If so, plug and battery out, unscrew, insert RAM until it clicks, close again, done. Then start and see if it recognizes RAM.
But you'd better take a look at a turtorial.
I have a clue about PCs
No maintenance hatch though
I prefer to watch tutorials before something goes up in smoke
It is also important to buy exactly the same RAM as the one that is installed, then nothing should go wrong with the compatibility.
And find out whether your PC supports 16 GB at all.
Yes he does
HP recommends Crucial
SK Hynix is installed it doesn't matter or (frequencies etc. Must be yours)
But is it possible afterwards
The frequencies must be the same, otherwise they brake each other, it must be ddr4 with the same frequency, then it should fit
Okay thanks
