Bluetooth connection to the JBL-Flip does not work. What can I do?

I have a slightly older Bluetooth speaker JBL-Flip and would like to pair it with my laptop HP EliteBook 8560p. I also get the JBL-Flip in the list of devices to connect and it also indicates that a pairing has occurred, but I have no sound on the flip. The sound is still on the internal laptop speakers. On other devices like my smartphone or my wife's laptop, pairing with the JBL works fine, so I would rule out an error on the flip. What could this be and where should I start looking for the mistake? Could that be just a wrong driver?

Do you have Windows 10 on it?

If so, pair your JBL and run something, so that sound comes in during testing all the time.

Now click on the speaker at the bottom right of the clock, then the volume and above it a name will appear: This is the selected player.

Click on this name and check if you can select something else> Theoretically, the other thing would have to be your JBL now…

If that does not work, go to Control Panel> Change the display to the top right to "Small Icons"> Sound> Here the JBL should now appear safely (If the pairing actually worked) select the JBL in the list and then click on the bottom right "As standard".

Thanks, I'll try it right away

Somehow, that does not work either. The JBL does not appear either in the menu in the status display or in the settings for the sound. 😕

Are you sure the pairing worked? Try reinstalling the Realtek Audio driver:

otherwise you can check the devices manager, if the JBL shows up there at all.

So, now I finally got around to taking care of it. I have now installed the driver via your link, but nothing has changed. When I go to the Bluetooth menu, the flip is displayed. It is paired and connected, but the sound still does not arrive.

I still have not solved the problem, but many thanks for your efforts.
