Windows 10 downgrade over per upgrade?

I have a new hp notebook with normal Windows 10, you can't downgrade to Windows 7. Only Windows 10 Pro can be downgraded to Windows 7. Does a way to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 10 Pro work normally and then downgrade to Windows 7? Or do you have other suggestions?

Dr

Only Windows 10 Pro can be downgraded to Windows 7.

Nonsense! No matter if Windows 10 Home or Pro, with both no "downgrade" is possible. A "downgrade" is only possible for a short time, if an upgrade from Windows 7 or 8 to Windows 10 was done before. That's it!

Does a way to upgrade from Windows 10 to Windows 10 Pro work normally and then downgrade to Windows 7?

No, that does not work. If you absolutely want to go back to Windows 7 (whose support will be discontinued in a few days), it is best to buy a new license for a few Euro and then activate Windows 7.

Oha thanks. And do you also know how I would have to go about it? Operating system if so how to delete and how to install windows 7?

Ru

That Win10 Pro (with Microsoft support) can be downgraded to Win7, I consider a rumor or, to put it more clearly, unlikely.

If you want to switch to Win7, you have to install it normally. A Win7 product key would be cheap to purchase on internet.

However, I advise you against it because Win7 would not work well because of missing suitable Win7 device drivers for your laptop.

Where is your problem with Win10?

Dr

Download Windows 7 disk image from Microsoft
Burn an image to DVD or write to a USB stick
Disable "Secure Boot" in the BIOS
Boot from DVD / USB stick, format hard drive and install Windows 7

Ha

Windows 7 Support will not be discontinued in a few days, but in one year! And on 14.01.2020, from then there are no more Windows Updates for Windows 7.

Ha

Most new laptops and PCs are no longer running on Windows 7. This is true for most 7th and 8th generation Intel Core i processors (Kaby Lake, Coffee Lake).

For some computers, there are still ways to conjure a Windows 7 on it, but that can degenerate to quite nice Gefrickel.

See the HP page for your model to see if HP for Windows 7 offers drivers. If so, download it.

Then make a complete image of the current system, download Windows 7 and install it (you do not need a product key for installation) and install the downloaded drivers.

If all this worked, then get back to you.

Dr

Small mistake on my part, thanks for the correction. But embezzled a year smooth. Well, it can happen if you deal with dozens of distributions.

Dr

Then make yourself a complete image of the current system,

To draw an image certainly is not wrong; after such an action (system change), however, would prefer a fresh installation of Windows. So you can take the opportunity to get rid of "garbage".
