Downgrade from Win10 to Win7, without Windows.old?

I want to downgrade a laptop to Win7. Normally this would be easily possible with the Win10 Rollback Utility, except that I cleared Windows.old when tidying up the disk.

Is there a way to restore the single folder? Can you download the vllt somewhere? Or would a downgrade be possible even without the folder?

as

The Windows old folder is to restore Windows 7. Without the folder you need the ISO.

So

After 10 years, support for Win7 expires in early 2020. Stay with Windows 10.

Ok, can I recover Win7 with the ISO without data loss? Or at least clone the disk and then clone back on Win7?

I'm aware, it's more about the laptop has very little RAM. Win10 already consumes half of that.

Then refit. - That should hardly be a problem.

Not my laptop you not worth it, owner has bought the 80 and with Win7 everything ran smoothly

Unfortunately, you can no longer downgrade, if the always locally stored folder Windows.old was deleted.

Make a backup of your documents and all important data.
Reinstall Win 7, the ISO image can be downloaded here and transferred to a USB stick, which significantly speeds up the installation. https://www.microsoft.com/...d/windows7
A dual boot installation is also in question, where first Win 7 must be installed, then Windows 10, because only the newer Windows can recognize the older and does not flatten.

Alternatively, you can also install Windows 7 in a virtual environment with VirtualBox, as described here:

About the early end of Win 7 you know, where I also continue to use computer with Win 7, because certain software, with which I'm used to work, only on Win 7 runs perfectly.

Finally, the suggestion to think also of a Linux operating system.

Somewhat older or weaker computers work really fast with a Linux distribution with a fast interface like XFCE. I always recommend to do an installation not on the Windows system HDD or SSD, but on a fast USB stick on which the bootloader for the selected Linux distribution should be installed.

With plugged USB stick the Linux bootloader Grub2 starts and you can choose between Win 7, Windows 10 and Linux. Without an infected stick everything stays as it was, because the HDD or SSD was not touched and nothing has been changed.

How much GB Ramm is installed?
Used 2 GB DDR2 bars are cheap to get on eBay.
Is the installed Win10 a 32-bit variant?

If you install Mint cinnamon from DVD to the USb pen, then please unplug the internal disk. So the bootloader (only) for Mint lands safely on the USB pen. This works great and without a license key or similar user alleviation. In the future, you can boot any PC from this Mint Live pen and use it performant and virus-free.

This USB pen is also available at IXSOFT under the heading Software - with an elegant mint print.
