GPU for SETI @ Home?

I loaded https://setiathome.berkeley.edu/ with the BOINC Manager from SETI @ Home,

once on the PC with Ryzen 5 3600x and RX570, there the program shows me CPU + AMD / ATI GPU

With the HP laptop I have an Intel chip with an integrated graphics chip and an NVidia MX250

Now there are projects where I can only join CRUDA to a GPU GRID on NVIDIA.

The problem with the laptop, which says only CPU 8 cores, he does not see the NVIDIA graphics card, it is also available in the device manager, but with the Nvidia software status, the graphics card is not used by any program.

So since the Manager program you can set the GPU but only if it is recognized, which is not a problem with the PC, but with the laptop, the graphics card in the BIOS only shows as a hybrid mode, I can't prefer PCIe or something like that, dat is fixed.

So somehow I have to use the graphics card and not always the internal graphics card.

Anyone have an idea?

Under Windows or also in the Nvidia settings you can say with which GPU a program should start, in case you have installed several graphics cards (as in many notebooks with Navidai / AMD card and an integrated iGPU in the CPU).

With Windows, a simple right-click on the program is enough and then there should be an item in the menu indicating which GPU you want to run the program with, maybe it will work.

In the Nvidia control panel you will find the point under Manage 3D settings => Program or global settings, where you should then be able to select the appropriate GPU for the program. Possibly. Do you have to restart or close the program completely if it is not recognized correctly.
