I have an old TV with antenna connection.
Treasures in the late 70s. For an event, I would like to run a video about it.
How do I get that I send the signal from a laptop or DVD player to the antenna socket? Has anyone done this before?
Is there a converter / adapter or something?
Since you will probably have to fish very deep in the bay. There have been times such converters, which, I believe that was at best Windows98, a VGA computer image (640 v 480 pixels) could convert into a pretty lousy television signal, and also included a modulator to the antenna socket to a UHF signal deliver. But I have not seen these things for 20 years.
Currently, it will probably only be possible to connect a surveillance camera to the AV input of an old VHS video recorder, and thus the image from the laptop monitor off-screen so as to bring down from the high resolution on the 625 lines, which the TV yes, unfortunately only can show.
Today, you're more likely to find the reverse, Grabber, which turns a 626-line video signal into a decent computer image, but you can't do anything with that.
Unfortunately this will be a bit of fumbling. One configuration I found is the following:
First you convert the HDMI signal from the laptop into a cinch signal, with the box here: https://www.amazon.de/...B077GNL1V9
Then you need an RF modulator, e.g. The here: https://www.real.de/product/66361751/
This turns the cinch signal into an antenna signal, which the TV can display.
This adapter converts a VGA signal into an analog TV signal:

An antenna socket is also visible on the side next to the little red DIP switch, as well as an antenna connection cable in the cables shown. Accordingly, an RF modulator would have to be installed. However, since this connection socket is not described in the technical description, the supplier would have to ask whether a signal for the antenna input of a TV set is actually offered here.
This adapter would complement any missing function: https://www.kamera-ueberwachung.de/kamera-zubehoer/bilduebertragung/modulatoren/9144/modulator-fuer-kamera-video-signale-auf-dem-tv.html
If the old TV set has a SCART socket, it would also work to convert a computer-generated VGA signal into a composite video signal, which will then be fed into the TV set via the included SCART adapter.
If the computer does not deliver a VGA signal and instead has an HDMI or display port output, you need an HDMI to VGA adapter:
https://www.amazon.de/...B01KUXCXTC
or
https://www.ebay.de/...6011369932
or a display port to VGA adapter: https://www.amazon.de/...B01DDRBI0C
These adapters are thus connected to the computer or DVD player and their output signal to the first described transducer Leicke KN39753.
Technically, your project is possible, but whether it makes sense… I would replace the old TV set with a modern, that can be connected directly to the PC / notebook or directly use a suitable computer monitor.
