Mobile W-Lan Antenna, Allotment, McDonald's Hotspot?

Moin people,

I have an allotment about 100 - 150 meters entfert to a McDonalds Restaurante. You can, as everywhere at McDonalds, every day for 3 hours free use of the wireless internet. The reception is with the built-in antennas in my devices such as mobile phone and laptop but only very weak. Some days it does not work. At others I can surf the garden with low data throughput.

I'm now looking for an antenna that I can plug in my devices. If possible with USC C, but also with adapter. Most amplifiers are meant to be run on a router but of course I do not have the latter in the garden. Do you have any idea what exactly I need for an antenna? Maybe a kind of antenna that only looks for a signal from the appropriate direction (and not around)? For microphones there are e.g. Shotgun microphones. Is there something similar for antennas? Best for at most 50 euro.

There's no antenna that amplifies the reception performance of your wireless receiver.

You can install a receiver halfway, which then forwards the signal.

But that will hardly help you.

This is not possible? Apart from the fact that I do not want to spend so much. But would that be theoretically conceivable, or useful for my purposes? https://www.notebooksbilliger.de/...lan+router

There are certainly for Wi-Fi directional antennas, however, the attaching of such a wireless device is illegal.

The reason behind this is that you not only increase the reception power but also the EIRP transmission power. This is limited in the EU to 100mW and most WLAN receivers use with the built-in antennas this limit already.

You could work with a good wlan repeater. Since you just have to watch, that you log in with it a.) Only if you also need the internet and b.) The login also hinkriegstā€¦

Thank you! Probably I would come across a research on it: but maybe you also know or Can you tell me why the EIRP transmission power in the EU is limited to 100mW. Is this the case for health reasons?
