Is it the internet?

So we do online classes with Microsoft Teams.

When we take lessons, the sound quality is totally bad for me and there's always some noise, loud squeaking and the like and I can't concentrate on what the teacher says and after a while I get an earache and have to remove the headphones.

I can't use my speaker on my laptop because it is broken.

Is it the internet or something else?

I think it's because of the internet (was throttled because a lot more people are at home now).

But it can also be the case that everyone simply has very bad equipment.

What exactly does "I can't use my speaker on my laptop because it is broken"? Do you mean the internal speaker or do you have external speakers connected?

I mean the speaker inside the laptop
