Windows 7 64 bit - only 3 of 4gb detected?

In the BIOS is 4095mb in the boot menu is 3072mb. Windows has 3gb of 4gb available.

Property in the msconfig tick purely at memory on 4096mb but that does not change anything.

The graphics card of the laptop is a nvidia geforce 7600go with its own 128mb memory.

Remapping option does not exist in the BIOS.

I ask for advice

Gi

From what 3GB recognized? Disk space? Graphics memory? Random access memory?

Sh

Sure you're using a 64 bit windoof? Because with my previous 32 bit Windows I had that synonymous, that in my case of the 8 GB Ra (h) m only 3 GB were usable!

I switched to 64 bit and now I can use all 8 GB!

Sh

Definitv RAM!

Gi

I think so too but the questioner should mention that

Gu

If there are four Rammodules, which is very well one could just be dead.

Try opening the laptop and pushing the ram into its place.

If that does not work, take a stick out and then see in the bios how much he indicates. If he shows 2048mb, you will do the stick again in the laptop. Repeat until the Bios with 3 sticks is still 3072mb. And look for the one more stick ram of the same size on ebay classifieds or something and try it out.

Sh

Right.

Gi

Cream? ^^

Sh

Sorry, I just thought about delicious sour cream
