Windows 10 - reinstallation - partition is too small?

I'm just about to reinstall Windows 10, but every time I want to install it comes the message that the drive partition is "too small". Supposedly, this only 0.0 MB, but it was not the case before. My laptop started clacking too and I read that it could be a shock my laptop had just yesterday. The drive may be damaged. What could I do there? Buy a new drive? Or is there a way to do it differently?

Bi

Yes, it could be a defective hard disk.

Take a look at your laptop on the Internet and find out what is sitting there where the clacking comes from. But everything seems to be an indication that the hard drive is frigate. Would actually buy me ne new hard drive. These are not so expensive nowadays. Tip: SSD - faster, quieter.

If you do not like buying a new one right now or maybe have stuff on the old hard drive, I would just take it out and connect it to another machine to maybe save data or to see if anything else could have broken

Bi

Just now that you thought your drive 😅. How do you install Windows? CD?

Sh

I install Windows via a USB stick.

Bi

Then the drive should not really rattle. Try to leave the drive open while. If it still rumbles it might be the hard drive.

Question for me: can you do that from a usb stick or do you have to insert an empty cd roling? Then that may be that the rappelt by the cd is burned. That would not explain your mistake then

Sh

Habs tried, but still does not work.
Besides, you can do both. The simple variant would be the USB stick!

Bi

Yes, I know that. Just thought that when booting from the usb ne iso on ne blank cd bluer burns you then briefly out and throws in again.

Is it still scrabbling? If you have your drive open?
