I tried on a laptop that has Windows 7 to reinstall Windows 7. I downloaded an ISO file from the internet, then burned it to a DVD. I changed the boot order and the setup started, then an error occurred and I switched off the laptop. Have it then tried again with the DVD and the laptop started up, since the following error comes when I try to start it, also I can't even get into the operating system, ie. Even if I remove the DVD and set the disk to No. 1, the same error occurs:
If you need information say, I can just tell you that the laptop is already several years old and had first Windows Vista and then upgraded to Windows 7. I can also do a video if that helps.
It sounds like you've overwritten your hard drive, in which case you can't start the old system, of course.
Maybe the DvD is not ok, if you have the chance to try it on another PC.
Also possible is the ISO fake, where did you download it from?
Otherwise, it would indicate a defective hard drive that has been damaged by the ISO.
If you have the original Windows key, I would either try again to download the Windows ISO from here (https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows7) or upgrade from here to Windows 10 (https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/software-download/windows10ISO).
For Windows 10, I can't promise you if it still works, it may be that the upgrade is no longer free so you need a new key.
It is the official Windows 7 ISO file from the Microsoft website and the DVD is undamaged. Have already synonymous with Windows 10 tried, is not synonymous.
Then probably the hard drive is broken, do you have a PC in which you can install this? You probably do not get them out of the laptop, unfortunately, you can't say more, but it looks like, because the hard drive would not break then you could install Windows over it, but you still come in the BIOS or?
It was because the hard drive is just slow. I waited one day and tried to install it again, it worked. Now Windows 10 is installed, but the laptop is still pretty slow. What will probably change only if you change the hardware: |
