I have a new laptop (Lenovo Y500) and have a DVD in the DVD drive of the laptop pushed. Nothing happened, just a hum from the side of the DVD drive. Then I read that you have to install a suitable player, which I did then (VLC media player), but when I tapped on playing the DVD came only the error message:
Your entry could not be opened:
VLC can't open the media address 'dvd: /// Z: /'. For details please refer to the error log.
What can I do?
Thanks for any reply!
PS: Yes, I have tried different DVD's.
If Windows is on it, it should also bring its media player as standard; but this can't be as much as the VLC and can't handle all formats.
nevertheless one should be able to access a cd or dvd by mouse click. It sounds like the drive is broken; must probably reclaim / exchange.
If Windows is on it, it should also bring its media player as standard;
Is there, but can play on Windows 10 but no more DVDs.
Oh yes, I forgot to say: Windows 10
Open the DVD on the computer "- Speak right click on it and click open, what is displayed there?
What should I type with right-click?
It does not open a window
As I said, open it in "Computer" or "My Computer" with a right click and then open to see the contents of the DVD.
