I just wanted to know your opinion on school uniform. We're supposed to get one soon, but one should not be obliged to wear it. However, we're a Mac school and there would be a 50% chance of someone with a laptop in the train or something with that uniform on the train…
But now I really wanted to know what you generally think of such a clothing.
A school uniform should also be introduced at our school, but that did not work out.
I would have looked forward to it, because in my opinion a uniform raises the class subconsciously. The argument that the gap between rich and poor significantly reduced, I feel as true. The morning search for clothes falls away and gives superficial people the opportunity to see that it does not depend on the appearance (or especially on the clothes).
Every school should try something like that, so that the students can decide for themselves.
I do not see much sense in them.
Clearly initially you can't tell each other by the clothes of who comes. But there are also other things like the cell phone, the bag, shoes (hey if the uniform really covers everything or not)
After some time in a class, one knows despite whose parents whose doctor and whose cleaning force.
It's also a risk if you're a MAC school to wear uniforms. Anyone who stays longer in the evening would shout straight into the world, which is a steal laptop for him.
I face the Neutral.
I think bullying would not diminish this, instead of the clothes it's just the shoes, bags and smartphones. In addition, someday it becomes obvious who has less money than the others.
The unit feels more like strangers than among themselves.
I see it in sports, because there are uniforms and equipment that are almost identical. Nevertheless, each of the equipment is somehow individualized and therefore not the same for "initiates".
I did not know that there are such MAC schools, but nevertheless I hardly think that it makes you more vulnerable. After all, other students have expensive smartphones and co. I do not know from other countries with school uniforms that students of more expensive schools are attacked more often.
In itself, I have nothing against uniform clothing in schools, in professional life, there are also defaults in many professions, you can see the difference between a banker and a painter. But the reasons I often find simply pointless.
Volunteer school clothes I have experienced in 2 schools, after a short time that has hardly worn one more. Especially with girls, it is not good for many (and thus were not very comfortable), most of the boys did not want them from the beginning. There's then the pressure as in other countries, that it is everywhere now and you have to go through there. So it just ended up in the closet…
